I haven't been posting much at all this week for a few reasons. Number one, the pups are so very much more active and I have my hands full! Number two, I want to post video and I am having a little trouble learning my new camera. (MY new camera...) Number three, the pups are really active and I have my hands full!
Here's a highlight from this week: the pups' first time outside! I enlisted the help of my neighbors, Lissie and her three lovely daughters, to help me keep track of the puppies and so I could snap some photos. The little girls and their mom and dad have been regular visitors since the pups were born. They are great with the puppies and Mollie! Furthermore, I am certainly glad to have the pups socialized to children as early as possible. Mollie was around her breeder's granddaughter from the beginning and to this day, she loves little girls! Actually, she's wonderful with all children.

The puppies paused and took stock for exactly ten seconds once their paws touched the grass for the first time and then there was no looking back! They love going outside to play! Also, since they were all very willing to go potty right away once they were out, we have started taking them out to do their business after every nap and meal. We have much less to clean up indoors and they are on their way to being house trained! Hip hip hooray!

Outside, there is so much to see and taste! I really have to hop when I take them outdoors without helpers. The biggest challenge: keeping them from eating birdseed under the feeders! Here, they are having a little harmless fun crawling into and out of the coiled garden hose.

In other "OUT" news:
The puppies teefs are most definitely out! They want to chew everything, but can luckily be distracted from toes and power cords by giving them a rope or plush toy instead. Having teefies (you know that they cannot in any way be called plain old, "teeth!") also means that they can eat small chunk kibble that has been moistened a bit. They all eat three meals a day from a little blue plate and many fewer meals from mommie Mollie. And how does Mollie feel about that?

See? Amidst all the slobber (eeeeeeew!)-- it's a smile!
